Different contest-holders usually eliminate designs for a number of different reasons, the most common of which are the following:
1. The contest-holder is not interested in this particular design submission
2. The contest-holder is not interested in this particular design submission but wants you to make adjustments to it (if so, a revision request will usually accompany the notification of elimination)
Getting your design eliminated is quite normal and is just another form of feedback that happens to each and every designer. Unless the contest-holder has specified otherwise, you are free to submit a design to the project again should you wish to do so.
